My Tech Journey so far

Starting off as a beginner in tech, I have been on/off and never really consistent with it. I wrote my first HTML/CSS in 2021 but nothing really deep just bare bones designs and some simple layouts. I rushed to JavaScript, and it took me my surprise. I just wanted to add DOM interactivity and listen for events in my code as I thought JS was just all about making your page more interactive like adding click and other handlers... just to make my HTML/CSS look more fun and alive (I wasn't really great at CSS but I thought I would be better as time went on). I was learning on codecademy at that time, and I was swept into the logic part of JS- Functions, Conditionals, Loops, Operators and it took me a long time to get the concept of arrays ("Bruh! I just want to click this button and make it go to another page or do something else what's all this?😒😒"). I couldn't hack JS and I closed my laptop (sorry, watched movies on it instead). I started my Diploma course in 2022 that same period and first semester I took C language...Even though we learned only the basics and no practical or real problem solving with it, it kind of shaped my thinking about what programming is all about and though and even though I did not do well in the exams (most of us did not either, it was a case of Examples, Assignment and Exams questions-if you get the meme😎). In later semesters we did C++ which I enjoyed so much but I only stopped at where we stopped in class and did not do more outside class and study on my own, well it was a good one (I did well in the exams this time around😉) Java-Never liked it, never understood it, C#-Java elder brother but worse(glad I didn't pick it), PHP(I'm not sure I attended a single class of PHP). Fast forward to 2023, I decided to get serious and start web development afresh with HTML/CSS/JS (I just needed to be committed & consistent) and it was the semester where we go for industrial attachment. Luckily, I got attached to a place where I had time to learn and work on simple projects (can't say the same for some of my friends🤣🤣). As time went by, I kept on learning and at first I was wondering if this programming thing is for me, I keep forgetting simple stuffs and have to check google/ChatGPT numerous times before it finally sticked (noooo! it never sticks😠). The frustration, self-doubts and lack of proper guidance derailed me, i had to learn stuffs on my own, but I wasn't going to quit. 3-4 months went by, and it started making sense a bit, built some simple projects with HTML/CSS/JS and few months passed, It was time to do the final year project and I learned React(was weird at first but I managed to get the basics), NodeJS and Database(SQLite) just in time to build a simple inventory admin dashboard(took me a month to build it).I might share some funny moments while I was building the app(e.g. how it took me 2 days to figure out how to make POST request in Postman, don't laugh yet🤣) but I did it and I'm proud, I even helped my friend build the backend of his Survey System with NodeJS and SQLite (I'm proud I can learn enough to help others too). Even though i could not do much last year due to school, i have improved a bit. This is another year, I'm not there yet, I still make mistakes, forget simple syntax/functions but from the when i started last year to when writing this post, I can see a significant improvement in my ability and I'm always trying to improve and do better than yesterday. Thank You For Reading🙌
